Returns & Cancellations

Because Skandilo products are made to order, cancellation and return rights depend on the type of product ordered and whether the order is placed by a consumer or a professional customer.

Consumer cancellation rights

If you are a consumer, you generally have the right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

If your order is delivered in several shipments, the cancellation period ends 14 days after receipt of the final shipment.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must notify Skandilo clearly before the cancellation period expires.

Please include:

  • your name

  • your order number

a clear statement that you wish to cancel the order.

Standard made-to-order products

If a product is made to order but not customised to your specific dimensions, materials, or other choices beyond Skandilo’s standard options, the statutory consumer right of cancellation applies unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Customised or personalised products

The statutory right of cancellation does not apply, to the extent permitted by law, to products made to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised.

This includes products customised in dimensions, finishes, material combinations, or other bespoke details made specifically for the customer.

Business, trade, and project orders

Orders placed by companies, institutions, architects, designers, or other professional customers are non-cancellable and non-returnable once accepted, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. Automated Decision-Making Processes

Where a valid right of cancellation exists and the goods have already been delivered, the products must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying Skandilo of cancellation.

Returned items must be:

  • unused except to the extent necessary to inspect them

  • complete

  • undamaged beyond such inspection

  • returned in their original packaging where reasonably possible, or in equivalent protective packaging

The customer remains responsible for the product until it has been returned to Skandilo.

Return costs

Unless otherwise required by law, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

If the returned item is large, such as a furniture piece, the customer is also responsible for the direct cost of returning it.

Refunds

Where a return is valid, Skandilo will refund the amount paid without undue delay and no later than 14 days from receiving the cancellation notice.

Skandilo may withhold the refund until the returned goods have been received, or until proof of return shipment has been provided.

Refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

If the product has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and function, Skandilo may reduce the refund accordingly.

Defective or damaged products

The cancellation and return policy above does not limit your rights in the event of a defective, damaged, or non-conforming product.

If you believe a product is defective or has been damaged in transport, please contact Skandilo as soon as possible and include:

  • your order number

  • a description of the issue

  • photographs showing the problem where relevant

Because Skandilo works with natural materials such as wood, marble, leather, cork, and textiles, natural variation in colour, grain, veining, texture, and surface expression is not considered a defect.
