Shipping & Delivery

Skandilo pieces are made to order. This allows each order to be confirmed individually, with lead times and delivery arrangements matched to the product, finish, and destination.

Lead times

All products are made to order unless stated otherwise.

Estimated lead times may be shown on the website, but the final delivery time is confirmed separately after the order has been reviewed and accepted. Lead times vary depending on the product, selected materials and finishes, production scheduling, and delivery destination.

Where an order includes multiple products, lead times may differ between items. In such cases, Skandilo may deliver items separately where needed.

Delivery options

Delivery method depends on the size of the product, the destination, and the service level selected. Depending on the order, Skandilo may offer:

Parcel delivery
For smaller items suitable for standard parcel shipment.

Door delivery
Delivery to the entrance of the building or property.

Curbside delivery
Delivery to the street address or curbside location. This service does not include carrying items inside, assembly, or removal of packaging.

White glove delivery
Available on selected orders and destinations. This may include carrying items inside, placement in the room of choice, assembly, and removal of packaging, where separately agreed.

The applicable delivery method and any related fees are confirmed before shipment.

Delivery charges

Delivery charges are based on product type, order size, destination, and delivery method.

Optional services such as white glove delivery, assembly, or special handling may incur additional charges.

Final delivery costs are shown at checkout or otherwise confirmed before shipment.

Access and site conditions

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all delivery details are accurate and complete, including the delivery address, contact details, access instructions, door codes, lift access, stair access, and any relevant building or site restrictions.

For larger furniture, the customer is also responsible for ensuring that the product can be delivered safely to the intended location. This includes checking entrances, corridors, staircases, lifts, and door openings in advance.

If delivery cannot be completed because of incorrect information, inaccessible premises, missed appointment, or other circumstances attributable to the customer, Skandilo reserves the right to charge any additional storage, handling, return, or redelivery costs.

Receiving the order

Once the order is ready for dispatch, the customer will receive shipment confirmation and, where applicable, tracking details or delivery scheduling information.

The customer should inspect the delivery upon receipt. If there is visible transport damage, this should be noted at delivery and reported to Skandilo as soon as possible.

Risk and responsibility

Risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

For consumer orders where Skandilo arranges delivery, Skandilo remains responsible for the goods until they have been delivered to the customer.

International deliveries

For deliveries outside the EU, local customs duties, import taxes, and similar charges are the responsibility of the customer unless stated otherwise.

Delays

Delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Skandilo is not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including transport disruption, material shortages, strikes, governmental action, or force majeure events.
